What is Thermal Imaging?

Infrared Thermography measures radiant surface temperature differences to materials. It is technology used as an aid in detection of building problems of moisture, structural defects, insulation defects, air leakage, electrical surveys and location of termites.

Thermal cameras measure surface temperature differences of the object being examined. Thermal cameras do not see through walls.

Surface temperatures are influenced by presence of things inside walls such as termites, moisture or other materials. This may allow identification issued due to the presence of thermal anomalies identified in the building structure.
